The following services are available to train children and adults to maximize/restore each individual's brain function, in a manor tailored to the needs of each unique brain. Our office is in Concord, NH.

Neurofeedback
We use primarily Neuro-Gen, a next generation system, which provides feedback to the brain in the form of a specific set of ultra low power signals.  Although the feedback signal is ultra low power, it results in a measurable change in the brainwaves, all without conscious effort on the part of the individual receiving the feedback.  In the process, it begins to establish a new Central Nervous System setpoint.  As training sessions are initiated, the effects may sometimes be noticed for only a few days.  As the sessions continue, effects are typically noticed for longer and longer periods of time, until there is no loss of effect between sessions. 

The Neuro-Gen protocols allow the tailoring of a personalized approach in order to accelerate the training process.  This may include a Brain Map.  The brain may be re-mapped occasionally during the training process.  The brain map shows a full 2-D color image of the brain that typically reflects and may help to document training progress.  The brain map can help to document EEG patterns consistent with certain clinical diagnoses, like brain injury or AD/HD. 

During the session, the trainee sits in a comfortable chair, typically for about 45 minutes. The Neurofeedback Practitioner places an EEG (electroencephalograph) lead at different spots on the trainee’s head using a conductive gel and may engage the trainee in interesting conversation, or recommend an activity like reading or homework.   A computer that is connected to the EEG interface module analyzes the brainwave signal in real time and signals the interface module to produce feedback that tracks, and yet whose frequency is a bit different than, the brain’s own signal at that point in time. It is almost as though the brain experiences itself looking back at itself, and in the process adjusts its own behavior patterns to more efficient, higher functioning, and more flexible ways of operating.

The procedure is not at all uncomfortable and results are often noticed immediately, frequently before the end of the session.  Clients frequently report feeling more relaxed or less anxious.

The result of this training is a changed brainwave state and greater ability for the brain to regulate itself for higher level, more flexible functioning.

NLP
Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP, was developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder as a result of their efforts to model excellence.  It utilizes techniques from Milton Erickson, Gregory Bateson and Virginia Satir, each of whom excelled in their specialty.  It formed the foundation for much of Tony Robbin's work.  It is especially useful in dealing with the effects of past trauma, eliminating phobias or changing long-standing undesirable habits.

NanoBeam 940
The NanoBeam 940 (similar in function to the Bales Photonic Stimulator) utilizes near infrared (NIR) wavelengths of light from a high power array of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to stimulate the mitochondria and temporarily block excessive activity from the sympathetic nervous system.  The long wavelength rays penetrate deep into the tissue and generate a soothing and calming effect.  Clients often experience rapid and significant reduction in inflammation and pain.  See the paper on the Photonic Stimulator

Courses
We also offer courses to other professionals who want more in-depth knowledge about Neuro-Gen Neurofeedback, and practical hands-on training for those who may want to incorporate it directly into their practice. Courses are held in Concord, NH, and other parts of the globe.
